Cr Bill Moar, the Mayor of Swan Hill Rural City Council has been welcomed by colleagues as the 2020 Chair of the Murray River Group of Councils. Cr Moar, who was elected Mayor of Swan Hill in November, took over the reins from 2019 Chair Cr Lorraine Learmonth and will chair his first meeting of the Group on 5 March when Murray River Councils come together for their first meeting of 2020 in Wederburn in Loddon Shire.
Cr Moar thanked Cr Learmonth for her strong work in leading the Group in 2019 and said he is looking forward to working with his fellow Mayors and the CEOs of the six MRGC Councils through the year ahead.
