MRGC Welcomes Cr Rob Amos as 2023 Chair

MRGC Members were pleased to welcome Cr Rob Amos, the recently elected Mayor of Campaspe Shire, as the incoming Chair of the MRGC for 2023.

Cr Rob Amos was elected to Campaspe Shire Council in October 2020, and is currently the Mayor.

Born in Moree, Rob and his family moved frequently during his childhood living off the coast of Arnhem Land in Elcho Island, before relocating to Darwin, Melbourne and eventually Robinvale.

Finishing his education in Hamilton, Rob then began his career in the banking and finance industry in Melbourne, where he established his own successful finance company. During this time, Rob and his wife decided that they would like to raise their daughter in a country town and so the decision was made to relocate to Echuca, where he has become an active member of the community.

Rob is currently a board member of the Echuca Moama & District Tourism Association, Moama Anglican Grammar as well as being on the board of directors for Nextplan Financial Pty Ltd, a Melbourne based financial planning firm.

Rob also served as a soldier with the Australian Army Reserve for 10 years and was volunteer firefighter with the Echuca CFA for 12 years. He loves the Carlton football club, a passion he shares with his daughter.
