MRGC looks forward to welcoming new faces
The Murray River Group will be welcoming some new faces when outgoing and incoming Mayors meet in Swan Hill next week. The recent Local Government elections saw some current Mayors decide not to run again for Council and the results of the Mayoral elections which followed means that only two of this year’s Group will be back in 2021.
Current MRGC Chair and Mayor of Swan Hill Cr Bill Moar will be back, as will Cr Libro Mustica who was returned for a third term as Mayor of Moira Shire.
New to the Group are Cr Chrissie Weller, Mayor of Campaspe, and Cr Charlie Gillingham, newly elected as Mayor of Gannawarra. Cr Jason Modica, the new Mayor of Mildura will take over from Cr Moar in the New Year and, a returning rather than new face – Cr Neil Beattie the Mayor of Loddon Shire.
The Group will farewell outgoing members, Cheryl McKinnon, Cr Adrian Weston, Simon Clemence, and Lorraine Learmonth, three of whom: Cheryl, Adrian, and Lorraine were also past Chairs of the Group. We thank them all for their contributions as members.
